Theological Conversations
Overheard in the car, a conversation between 5-year-old T and 3-year old E.
T: No, God is up in the clouds. At heaven.
E: What?
T: At heaven.
E: And he never can come down?
T: No. When you die, you go up to heaven, through the clouds.
E: And you're dead.
T: And God fixes you up. So then you're alive.
E: And you're dead.
T: But then you're heavy, because you're standing up and alive, so you fall through the clouds, because you're heavy, back to earth.
E: When I die, I lay down.

Craft Day Redux and a Great Idea
Craft Day
Me and the Sass and the Muum and G-money and (for the first time, live and in concert!) K-head all got together a couple weekends ago for a craft day. No, being related isn't enough. We like to play together, too. We made wreaths. Except Muum made a decorative hat. Which she then put on and danced around in like Carmen Miranda. No, we weren't drinking mimosas...why do you ask?
We went to Macaroni Grill for lunch. Dee-vine. And then came home to make message/photo boards. With a staple gun.
The Great Idea: Geek Chic

An idea
I don't know if I'm more politically aware than I have been in election years past, or if the media is getting involved earlier, but I find myself avidly watching the contenders for the 2008 presidential election. It was pointed out in one of my favorite newspaper columns that we have an excellent chance of voting on some historical presidential candidates:
We could elect the first black president:
the first woman president:
or the first Mormon(LDS) president:
Of course...we could just kill three birds with one stone and elect:
Gladys Knight.Labels: politics
