Gardening on the edge

First, bellasara cards can be bought at most game or toy stores. We got ours at Wal-mart. They're near the baseball and pokemon cards.

Now, on with the garden. This is square foot garden #1. #2 had better be put in soon or the plants waiting for it will wilt. :(

The black thing in the background center is the compost box. Remember?
And there are peas on the far left, tomatoes in the second row. Carrots and sunflowers are planted but not up yet in the third row, and onions and garlic are in the far right row.

This is a weed. Just so you know I'm not kidding when I say we grow em big in Magna. Note the fence and door behind it. Ya. Seriously.

Herb-pot-to-the-South. Chives, mint and lemon balm. These are all pictures in the raw, BTW, so you can clicky them and get big texture.

Herb-pot-to-the-North. Basil and rosemary. I know it looks a bit barren, but I'm expecting the basil to spread.

Hopefully this week we will have an interview with a Master Gardener. Don't miss it!

Finally, a news item. Guerilla Gardening. Given the price of food currently, these young people are making a political statement by stealth-gardening vacant public and private land. I could get into this.
